What did you do in 2008 that you have never done before?
Lots. Visited Machu Picchu. Sobbed during a closing argument. Got married (if I make it to next Wednesday).
Did you keep all of last years resolutions?
Honestly, I don’t even remember what my resolutions were and since I deleted my old blog I can’t look them up.
Have you any resolutions for next year?
1) Tackle the pasta maker that I received for my birthday and learn to make kick-ass ravioli.
2) Re-learn French. I can still manage through articles from Le Monde, but my writing and speaking skills sont mal.
What countries did you visit?
Peru in January and Mexico in May. But honestly, I don’t even really count Mexico.
What would you like to have in 2009 that you didn’t have in 2008?
Hm. A job that doesn’t cause me immense stress and frustration. Does that exist?
What date in 2008 will remain etched in your memory?
December 31st (wedding) or November 4th (election). I don’t want to choose just one.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Quitting my job.
What was your biggest failure?
Quitting my job.
That’s right, it’s both. On one hand, I’m proud that I said “Fuck this” to a job and people that were causing so much strife in my life. On the other hand, I feel like a failure that I couldn’t stick it out for my clients.
Did you suffer any illness or injury?
Nope.
What was the best thing you bought?
Two pairs of boots. Or maybe T’s birthday gift – a Man of the Year mirror! Or maybe all those delicious Sangria’s in Mexico. Unfortunately, I have been unable to replicate their deliciousness at home.
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
A certain man with a robe.
Where did most of your money go?
Student loans, as I paid off a large chunk this year.
What did you get really really really excited about?
Vacations!
What do you wish you’d done less of?
Bitch.
How will you be spending Christmas?
Christmas Eve with T’s family, eating Italian fare. Christmas Day with my family eating the usual American holiday stuff. DayAfter Christmas with Amber and Rusty.

Michael Buble singing standards and classics on Call Me Irresponsible.
What did you want and get?
A reversed conviction in Smith v. State. An Obama Presidency. w00t!
What did you want and not get?
A Directed Verdict on a certain bullshit case.
What was your favourite film this year?
A Dark Knight, Charlie Wilson’s War. Indiana Jones was a dud and Quantum of Solace could have been better.
What did you do on your birthday and how old were you?
28. I was in court most of the day and then we all went out for drinks.
What one thing would have made your year more satisfying?
If a certain prosecutor was fired.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Comfortable and casual, as usual.

Which celebrity did you fancy the most?
Daniel Craig. He is absolutely fantastic as James Bond.
Which political issue stirred you the most?
Hm. I think the only thing that prompted me to write my Congresscritter was the Wall Street bailout. But, I’m sure I was quite pissed off during the general session earlier this year, but I can’t quite remember anything.
Who did you miss?
No one for very long.
